About Burning Knife
Burning Knife is an independent buying-guide site about kitchen knife sets. We help home cooks compare sets and pick one with confidence.
Our guides cover block sets, chef knife sets, magnetic-block sets and sets with sharpeners. We explain the terms that matter, like steel, tang and piece count, in plain words.
What we cover
We write about the kitchen knife sets people actually buy, from German-style sets by Henckels, Wusthof and Cuisinart to Japanese-style sets by imarku and Hoshanho. We also cover value sets like Astercook and McCook, and sets with built-in sharpeners like Ninja NeverDull.
Each guide compares models side by side, so you can see the trade-offs before you choose.
How we work
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every set we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after using one.
Then we turn it into plain guides, comparisons and clear picks. You can read the full method on our How we research page.
What we don't do
We don't make or sell knives, and no brand pays us to rank its products.
Burning Knife isn't affiliated with Henckels, Wusthof, Cuisinart, Ninja or any other maker.
We don't claim to have tested every set ourselves. When we pick one, we tell you why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.
How we earn money
Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never changes which sets we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
